ROCKING at WONDERNATION

WonderNation was a lot of fun. My classmates and I banged the drums, strummed the guitar, and played with the parachute. We even sang some songs, crawled around, and rocked to some music.

The water at SEASIDE LAGOON

We went on a class field trip today to Seaside Lagoon in Manhattan Beach. It was my first time tasting the ocean water, it was really salty. I enjoyed playing with the wet sand and sitting in the salty ocean water with my fellow classmates and teacher. When it gets really hot, I hope mom will take me here again.

Note from Mom

Image
My mom's note on her blog below sums up my morning today. "I would never before thought that a successful or productive morning constitutes to my daughter ingesting one half a container of yogurt and a couple ounces of dried cereal. It was always about how many phone calls, emails, things crossed off on a to-do list, etc that determines if a morning was productive. This morning, unlike those in the past, it was Audrey opening up for that next yogurt bite, or how she was able to self-feed another cheerio. Motherhood definitely slowed me down, not to necessarily smell the flowers, but appreciate the absolute basics that makes up everyday life."

Piglet Characters

I would like to introduce the different characters that makes up our Piglet group. Though some were missing today, I would like to introduce you to my lil' Piglets who were here.

Saturday with the Bells

Uncle Cameron and his kids; Madeline, Rachel, and Angelica came to visit this morning. We hung out for a while then went to the local park where dad let me go down the slide for the first time. Dad held on to me the whole time, maybe one day I will get to go down all by myself.

Hanging in the yard

It's playgroup day, and my teacher Ms. King came by to talk about child development. All the mommies were taking turns getting a massage in our back guest house. Baby Evan sat by himself for the first time today. It is so nice to see my little friend Kate back from the east coast. My other buddies: Parker, CJ, Elijah, Jameson, London, and James all play in the yard and explored all our different toys.

Piglets at the Beach

Ms. Britta opened her home this weekend so we can have a beach day with my fellow piglets. I ate some sand, dipped my feet in the ocean, and chased the seagulls around.

Summer Bathing

My little yard pool didn't come yet, so mom had me out back in my bathing tub. It's so fun to get washed outdoor with the big trees, nice yellow flowers, and all the green grass. I really like to splash the water and get it all over the place.

Auntie Thu is back.

Today Auntie Thu returned from her trip and brought me lots of presents...yipppeee! I missed her, its nice to have her back. Do you like my outfit, it's from Thailand?

Piglets at the Pool

Our playgroup met at Ms. Karin's house and kiddie pool today. Mom was late so we didn't get many pictures of everyone in the pool. I had my toes gnawed on today.

Me and Uncle Crabtree

Image
My uncle Kevin is visiting this weekend, isn't he adorable? Daddy calls him by his sur name, 'Crabtree', I think that is funny. He is how mommy and daddy met.

Discovering the Piano

This is where daddy practice playing the piano when he was my age. I really like pressing on all these keys. When grandma retires, maybe she can teach me how to play.

Happy Anniversary Mommy and Daddy!

This morning dad took me to the local bakery for breakfast. I tried some of mom’s croissant before heading to the beach. The sun was warm today and there were a lot of people at the beach. I played in the sand with mom and had my feet briefly in the water. The ocean water was a little too cold so after playing with my pail, we went to lunch. Many of the kids at the restaurant came by the table to say hi. Some of them came by a bunch of times; I had a lot of fun with all the bigger kids. That afternoon Aunt Julie came to swim with us and babysit while mom and dad go to dinner. It’s their 5th Wedding Anniversary.

Delicate Butterfly

My first experience with a Monarch butterfly was interesting; mom thought I had really hurt it.

How To: Eat a Stone Fruit

Babies, for those who are learning to eat, this is how to eat an apricot or any stone fruit.

Happy July 4th!

I rode in my daddy’s car today down to the St. Regis in Laguna Niguel to vacation for the 4th of July. I really like the St. Regis, there are many other babies like me there. I was dressed in red, white, and blue to celebrate the big day. All the big people were really nice, and everyone was smiling. At check-in, a nice lady gave me my very own beach pail with my name on it. I watched from the room balcony all the balloons they were blowing up to prepare for the big buffet banquet. I can’t wait to go down there and see all the treats they have in stored for me. Before the festival started, we went and swam in the pool. It was a fun day! I swam, danced, people watched, and even brought some balloons back to the room. I can’t wait to see what we’ll be doing tomorrow.

My First Craft

Image
Today I learned how to make my very first craft from baby school. Mrs. King taught us how to make a wind tunnel, and since we couldn't quite get our fingers to write, we stamped them with our feet. It was fun. I made one for grandma and one for my dad. My box of goodies mom ordered also arrived today. I found lots of baby musical instruments and a big colorful parachute. I can't wait to share them with my Piglet Posse.

Yippppeee Grandma is Retiring!!

HAPPY RETIREMENT GRANDMA MESIC! This summer Grandma will retire, well semi. This means I get to spend at least one day a week with Grandma. It will be just me & Grandma, and sometimes Grandpa too. Tonight Mom and dad took me to Grandma's retirement party at the Rollings Hills Country Club in Palos Verdes. All of Grandma's office workers were there, and we had a very nice dinner. For the first time, I tried risotto and mashed potatoes...I am not sure if I liked it, but the ice chips were really yummy.

on DOG watch

After all my little friends left, I help Auntie Hong watch the dogs. I really like the puppy, she is my new playmate when my little piglet friends are not around. We played tug-of-war, though mom would not be too happy if she knows we shared the same toys.
